High-Speed Router Spindle

The high speed router spindle is designed for router shaft diameters of Ø 6–16 mm at a running speed of 15,000 rpm.

Spindle moulder tiltable from

All Felder spindle moulders tilt 90°–45° as standard.

As soon as you begin working on your machine, you’ll see that your Felder’s range of applications is much wider than you might have expected and you save a lot on tools too. Using the hand wheel causes the whole moulder spindle unit to tilt to the requested angle easily and smoothly.

Dual extraction for the spindle function

The dual extraction for the spindle function via the spindle fence and the chip collecting bin under the cutterhead ensure that the machine remains clean and that good working results are obtained.

Precise slots and tenons

Accurate slots and tenons are much easier with the ­Felder “X-Roll” sliding table. This precision guiding system will accept maximum loads without compromising the smooth and accurate stroke of the sliding table. The “X”-configuration of the roller bearings optimally distributes workpiece weight to all sides. With conventional sliding tables, ball bearings are used in the guiding system. A ball bearing system creates a singular point of contact between the bearings and the flat guiding tracks. The singular point of contact will eventually wear grooves into the tracks and as a result, sideways play will develop in the sliding table. It is physically impossible for the “X-Roll” system (with roller bearing lineal contact) to wear grooves into the guiding tracks, hence the system will always remain play-free and is backed with a 6-year factory guarantee.

The precision “240“ spindle fence and the large spindle opening

The “240“ spindle fence is standard equipment on the spindle moulders. The spindle fence can accommodate tooling to a maximum of 230 mm and has a fine adjustment on the spindle fence outfeed side. The integrated dust extraction connector allows for chip removal. The spindle table opening is 230 mm. That is your advantage when panel-raising ­­– the spindle tooling can be lowered under the table.
